Job Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Support Chef to join our Group Hospitality team.
You will work with the Regional Support Chef North & our Group Hospitality and Catering Manager to develop training and support materials for the Catering teams in our Care Homes.
This is a field-based role and will require the successful candidate to travel to any of our homes in the South.
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Develop training and support materials to improve food quality and compliance.
2. Manage food-related projects and cross-functional food initiatives.
3. Coordinate with the Group Hospitality Manager to create chef forums and training sessions tailored to the needs of each home.
4. Audit kitchen operations to ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet standards.
5. Maintain good working relationships with home management and kitchen teams through regular contact.
Experience / Qualification:
1. Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
2. Effective communication skills at all levels.
3. Team player.
4. Willingness to participate in vocational training programs.
5. Satisfactory DBS result and good references.
6. Experience in catering services, food preparation, and presentation.
7. Understanding of food hygiene regulations.
8. Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
