ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is looking for aspiring SEN Teaching Assistants or Learning support workers who can support children in a large SEN school in Tameside.
You will be supporting children aged 11-19 years old with varying needs from complex needs and non-verbal to moderate learning difficulties and autism. Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and caring individual who can support children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups.
Located either in Tameside or Oldham, the schools are located close to major motorway networks and it easily accessed by public transport.
The position is open to all those with the desire to support and help others with additional needs. The school are not necessarily looking for those with experience or qualifications, but instead are reaching out to those with a nurturing personality and nature and a will to help others. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
* Position – SEN TA
* Type of work – Classroom and SEN support

* Minimum rate of pay – £100 per day
* Hours – 8:30 am – : Mon – Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Previous experience in a similar setting
* LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
* GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
* Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
