Join us as a Project Technical Manager
DOF Atlantic is seeking a Project Technical Manager (PTM) to join our team and support the delivery of subsea projects. The PTM reports to Engineering and is a key member of the project management team with experience in project delivery from commercial, contractual, and technical perspectives.
Responsibilities
The PTM is responsible for creating and directing a functional team of engineers and ensuring the team works together efficiently. The role is result oriented, and the PTM acts as a motivator and mentor while ensuring "industry best practice" is documented in the development of the technical delivery for projects, tenders, and studies.
* Support business acquisition, both for BD and Tendering activities
* Promote DOF Subsea’s engineering capabilities to clients and the market
* Increase communication between engineers and offshore managers/personnel across the region
* Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned
* Promote the company’s organizational culture, values and reputation with staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
* Promote the development of an HSEQ culture and system that minimizes risk to personnel, the environment and equipment to ALARP levels (As Low As Reasonably Practical)
* The PTM may be asked to deputise as Project Manager as and when required

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field (experience can compensate for lack of formal competency)
* Experience in project engineering within the offshore/subsea industry
* Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
* Management of subcontracts and subcontractors
* Experience in site management of fabrication subcontractors and Site Integration and Factory Acceptance Testing of equipment and tooling packages for the oil and gas industry
* Management of QA/QC principles
* Detailed understanding of relevant codes and standards
* Understanding of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment tools and techniques
* Strong understanding of project management tools and techniques
