About the Role An opportunity is available to join a respected, independent transport and engineering company as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Technician. You'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining and preparing a diverse fleet of vehicles. The work will primarily involve maintenance and repair in our main workshop and contributing to vehicle preparation within our sales conversion workshop. We are looking for a skilled professional with proven experience in heavy vehicle engineering. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and fault diagnosis on heavy vehicles. Mechanical and Electrical Systems: Perform repairs on engines, gearboxes, braking systems, steering, suspension, and electrical components. Conversion Support: Assist the workshop team with the preparation, conversion, and modification of vehicles for sale. Compliance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards, in line with VOSA/DVSA regulations and company procedures. Documentation: Accurately complete all job cards, maintenance records, and necessary documentation.
