Base pay range
We're looking for passionate and practical Peatland Officers to join the PEAT+ Project. Led by Ulster Wildlife in collaboration with cross-border partners, PEAT+ aims to restore degraded peatlands, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance biodiversity while engaging local communities in nature-based solutions for a resilient future.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a pipeline of on-the-ground projects to improve the conservation status of key peatland sites, including:
* Frosses Bog ASSI
* Springmount Bog
* Slieveanorra
* Croaghan ASSI
* Carn/Glenshane ASSI
* Teal Lough ASSI
* Haugheys Bog
* Moneygal Bog ASSI
There are two roles available, one based in Belfast and one based in An Creagan, Omagh.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: £24,023 – £27,983 gross per annum. Access to employer's contributory pension scheme - maximum of 10% per annum.
These are full-time, fixed-term posts to 31 March 2029.
