Salary: £45,000 plus About the Business This hands-on Management Accountant role offers broad exposure across a global manufacturing business, involvement in key decision-making, and the chance to take ownership of financial reporting and processes. Main Duties: As a Management Accountant, your main duties include: * Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly management account packs for leadership review. * Present financial performance insights and analysis to senior management. * Post and reconcile journal entries related to financial adjustments and reconciliations. * Take full ownership of external audit queries and statutory reporting requirements. * Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, accruals, and other control accounts. * Review general ledger activity, analyse postings, and resolve any discrepancies or errors. * Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. * Record and allocate accounts receivable receipts accurately. * Record and allocate accounts receivable transactions and monitor debtor cash flow. * Review and approve accounts payable invoices in accordance with internal policies. * Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with relevant regulations. * Support employee benefit reporting processes. * Post payroll journals and ensure payroll costs are accurately reflected in the accounts. * Review actual performance against budgets and highlight key variances. * Provide assistance with ad hoc financial and operational requests, such as cost or usage analyses. * Conduct profitability analysis for projects, customers, and revenue streams, and prepare related reports. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will have: * ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or a finalist actively working towards qualification. * Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. * Proven experience in a broad finance role with responsibility across core accounting functions. * Strong technical accounting knowledge and a sound understanding of financial processes and controls. * Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills. * Experience using financial management software, ideally Sage Line 50 or a similar system.
