Are you an experienced freight forwarding professional ready to join a high-performing operations team?
Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client who is looking for a driven individual to oversee their freight forwarding activities in Belfast, managing multimodal shipments and delivering outstanding service to their clients.
What You'll Do
* Lead day-to-day forwarding operations (air, sea, and road) with a hands-on approach
* Manage and motivate the operations team to meet performance targets
* Ensure smooth customs clearance and regulatory compliance
* Liaise with carriers, agents, and suppliers to coordinate efficient transport
* Drive process improvements and ensure operational KPIs are met
* Work closely with customers to provide tailored logistics solutions
* Resolve escalations quickly and professionally
Criteria
* Previous experience in freight forwarding/logistics (import & export)
* Strong understanding of customs regulations and multimodal transport
* Proven leadership and people management skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Comfortable using freight management systems and Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of CDS/CHIEF systems and AEO procedures would be beneficial
