Harvest Manager - Suffolk - £40,000 – £60,000 - Accommodation Support
The Job:
As Harvest Manager, you will take full responsibility for seasonal labour operations across the farm, ensuring harvesting runs efficiently and to plan. You will oversee the full process from planning through to execution, making sure crops are picked on time, meet quality standards, and align with supermarket requirements. This is a highly operational role where you will be closely involved in the day to day coordination of harvesting activities. You will manage workforce planning, allocate resources effectively, and ensure smooth delivery during peak periods.
There is also a strong commercial focus. You will be responsible for monitoring labour efficiency, controlling costs, and working towards yield and performance targets. You’ll play a key role in balancing productivity with quality, ensuring the operation delivers to both financial and customer expectations
Leadership is central to the role. You will manage supervisors and a large seasonal workforce, setting clear daily plans, monitoring performance, and ensuring high standards are maintained across the team. You will also contribute to the wider management group, working collaboratively across growing and production functions
The Candidate:
- Organised and driven individual with experience in a high-volume agricultural, fresh produce, or food production environment
- Confident managing large teams, including seasonal or temporary labour
- Strong planning and coordination skills
- Able to make quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of labour management, productivity tracking, and cost control
- Commercially aware and comfortable working towards targets while maintaining quality standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to motivate teams and develop supervisors
- Capable of creating a positive, high-performing working environment
- Enjoys responsibility and thrives under pressure
- Ambitious, seeking to step into a senior operational role within a dynamic and growing business
The Package:
- Salary £40,000 – £60,000 DOE
