Main Purpose of Role The Greater Manchester Further Education Innovation Partnership (GMFEIP) brings together all nine GM Colleges to deliver ambitious innovation projects funded by Innovate UK and other national partners. The Innovation Projects Monitoring Manager will play a central role in leading monitoring and reporting across multiple projects. This includes developing and maintaining systems to track progress, risks, KPIs and finance, while ensuring partners and funders have clear and accurate insights into project delivery. The role requires strong skills in Excel and data presentation, alongside the ability to work collaboratively with partners. It is suited to someone who enjoys making data meaningful, shaping systems, and supporting evidence-based decision-making in a fast-evolving FE innovation landscape. Fixed Term Contract: Until March 2026 (with possibility of extension). Employed by Oldham College on behalf of GMColleges gmcg.ac.uk Based in Greater Manchester (hybrid working). Main office is Oldham College. Occasional travel for national events may be required. Main Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement and maintain monitoring systems for GMColleges innovation projects, such as the Greater Manchester Further Education Innovation Programme (GMFEIP) and Innovation Literacy training programme. Collate, analyse and present data clearly using advanced Excel and other tools. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Innovate UK and other funders. Maintain and update project documentation, including Gantt charts, KPI trackers, and risk registers. Support evaluation and impact reporting across the consortium. Monitor financial activity at project level, ensuring robust and compliant tracking. Liaise with project managers, senior leaders, and stakeholders across the consortium to ensure clear communication. Promote consistent monitoring practice across partners, supporting adoption of shared systems. Contribute to partner meetings, providing data and insights to support decision-making. Adapt monitoring approaches to respond to evolving needs and funder requirements. Support the development of sustainable systems for future programmes. Work flexibly across multiple projects, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
