What We Do
We put our Customers and Families First. They are the driving force behind everything we do. We drive forward improvements for them to ensure the service they receive, whether reactive repairs or a major project, is completed safely and on time. In order to achieve this, we have 4 core values: open, caring, agile and collaborative. These are at the heart of everything we do.
Location note: Candidates must be based no further north than the Midlands, to cover sites in South England to the South coast.
Role
Senior Performance Improvement Manager
This is a high‑impact, forward‑facing role for someone who thrives on turning insight into action. You will lead data‑driven improvement initiatives that enhance KPI performance and deliver meaningful, measurable improvements to the lives of Service Families. You will work across teams to challenge status quo, uncover root causes, and design practical, sustainable, and scalable solutions.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy—spotting opportunities, shaping ideas, and taking them through to delivery. Activities include analysing performance data, facilitating problem‑solving sessions, and influencing senior stakeholders with clarity and energy.
You will take ownership of a portfolio of performance improvement initiatives, leading them end‑to‑end—from diagnosis through implementation and benefit realisation. This includes identifying underperformance across KPIs, customer feedback, and operational data, drilling into root causes, and connecting disparate data sources to build a coherent picture for prioritising interventions.
You will translate analysis into action by developing clear, evidence‑based business cases for change, articulating customer and commercial benefits. You will design improvement strategies grounded in operational reality, working closely with frontline teams to co‑create solutions that are effective and sustainable.
You will play a central role in embedding a culture of continuous improvement—facilitating workshops, leading structured problem‑solving sessions, and introducing tools that help teams think differently about performance challenges. You will challenge constructively, using data and insight to influence decisions at multiple levels of the organisation.
You will monitor and track impact by defining success measures, establishing baselines, and reporting progress against outcomes to ensure benefits are realised and sustained. You will provide concise reporting on performance trends, intervention impact, and return on investment to help senior stakeholders make informed decisions.
You will act as a connector across the business—aligning priorities and coordinating improvement activity. Where needed, you will represent the function at a senior level with confident, insight‑led updates and recommendations.
You will evolve how performance is understood and managed—improving data visibility, refining KPIs, and moving the organisation toward a proactive, insight‑led approach.
This role will require frequent travel to sites from the Midlands down to and including the South Coast, as well as regular meetings at our Birmingham office. The ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance will be a condition of employment.
What We Look For (Qualifications/Experience)
We’re looking for someone naturally curious and analytically strong who asks “why?”, digs deeper, and isn’t afraid to think differently. You should be confident with complex data, using tools like Excel (essential) and ideally Power BI or other Microsoft 365 applications, to build a clear performance narrative and drive evidence‑based decisions.
Mindset matters: you care about outcomes, not just outputs, and you recognise that behind every metric is a real family. You collaborate well, build trust quickly, and can support and challenge stakeholders to achieve better results.
Experience in housing or related sectors is helpful but not essential. What matters most is your ability to solve problems, work with data, and keep the customer at the heart of every improvement.
Success in this role will be defined by the changes you enable: improved performance, stronger insight, and a better everyday experience for Service Families. If you’re a self‑starter with the drive to make a tangible difference, we’d like to hear from you.
