Department/Unit: Renal Transplant Service
Work Shift: Day (United States of America)
Responsibilities
* The pre-transplant coordinator works with the transplant team to manage patients that are active and active on hold on the transplantation list.
* This individual attends transplant committees, QITs, partakes in Transplant clinic. The pre-coordinator schedules testing, labs, procedures that are necessary for the care of potential transplant recipient.
* The coordinator fields phone calls from patients, MD offices, etc to manage the patients care.
* The coordinator will also be maintaining and enforcing the regulations set forth by the regulatory bodies of UNOS, OPTN, CMS, Joint Commission of Accreditation, NYS DOH and the like.
Qualifications
* Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
