Benefits and Efficiencies Analyst - 32067
The Environment Agency is committed to having an inclusive workforce to reflect the communities we serve. Our newly established Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is focused on creating a centralised portfolio that drives change, transformation, and continual improvement. We’re currently looking for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the team. The team plays a vital role in shaping and optimising the project Portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment, enhancing decision-making, and providing evidence to manage risk across change and transformation. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in change and transformation, with plenty of development opportunities and strong support from your team and peers.
You will be an important part of our PMO team, analysing data from PMO colleagues and project and programme managers across our portfolio, helping to set the standards for benefits and value management and then helping to embed them. You will help our teams identify, value and validate their project benefits.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio to shape and optimise the project Portfolios.
* Help set the standards for benefits and value management and embed them.
* Identify, value, and validate project benefits; support evidence-based decision-making and risk management across change and transformation.
* Collaborate across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
* Create and maintain dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Provide guidance, toolkits, or frameworks to support colleagues; communicate complex analysis clearly to non-technical audiences.
Experience/Skills Required
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
* Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build relationships.
* Clear communication skills to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation and adaptability; able to work independently or in a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits, or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Ability to work with diverse teams and encourage consideration of diversity issues.
* Development opportunities and appropriate training will be provided.
