Role Overview
As a Heating Engineer, you will complete emergency reactive calls that are logged to a high standard, which assists the company to achieve a high first-time fix percentage, you will also complete site surveys and act as a company representative to ensure company beliefs and standards are always adhered to.
What you’ll do
The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
1. Carry out Planned maintenance to combustion appliances and pipework in line with contract specification, industry guidelines and in association with the company H&S policies.
2. Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork and certification.
3. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to M&E and plant as required.
4. Ensure timely submission of all reports, timesheets and certification.
5. Be part of a standby Rota as requested to ensure that the company can always provide adequate emergency cover to clients
6. Assist other team members when required.
7. Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.
8. All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
What you'll bring
As a Heating Engineer your main skills and experience will include:
Essential Criteria
9. A suitably qualified mechanical discipline
10. Relevant OFTEC/ACS Gas qualifications
11. Experience of working on a broad range of boilers, AHU’s and Pumps
12. Sound knowledge of domestic/commercial appliances and associated in-line equipment including control wiring
13. Full driving licence
Desirable Criteria
14. Good knowledge working on steam systems
15. Excellent communications skills
16. Excellent fault-finding and repair skills
17. A solid understanding of administration procedures
