We are seeking a talented individual to join our Equity Manager Research team at Mercer. This role will be based in London. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.
The Equity Manager Researcher will work within the equity manager research team in Mercer’s London office. You will actively contribute to the equity manager research effort, meeting with asset managers and providing views on their investment capabilities.
We are looking for someone with proven equity manager research experience to join our dynamic global research group.
Responsibilities include:
* Coordinating with external investment management firms to undertake research on specific investment strategies
* Conducting due diligence meetings with investment management firms, with support from team members
* Drafting research documents outlining strengths and weaknesses of strategies and making recommendations
* Supporting views and recommendations with quantitative and qualitative analysis
* Collaborating with colleagues to challenge and reach conclusions that meet client needs
* Representing the manager research process and investment recommendations internally and externally
* Contributing to ad hoc equity-related research projects and supporting the team in achieving its objectives
Minimum requirements:
* Experience in equity manager research
* Strong written and oral communication skills at all levels
* Technical skills and understanding of statistical models
* Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic
Preferred qualifications:
* Coding ability or experience
* Experience meeting with quant and fundamental fund managers
* Report writing experience, including evaluating fund managers’ investment capabilities

Our hybrid work model combines remote work with in-office collaboration, with colleagues expected to be in their local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week. Teams will designate at least one 'anchor day' for in-person meetings.
