Job Title: Senior Site Manager
Reporting to: Divisional Director
Location: North‑western edge of the primary operating region covering Suffolk, Essex & Cambridgeshire with easy access to the A14 (Cambridge‑Ipswich) or M11 (Cambridge‑M25) for project reach.
Contract type: Full time, permanent
Salary and benefits: Competitive salary, contributory pension, profit‑based discretionary bonus, life assurance, annual leave, car allowance, private healthcare, generous travel and overtime allowances.
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary customer interface and key site leader.
* Drive project completion through strong verbal and written communication with clients and supply‑chain.
* Assist a Contracts Manager, manage junior managers and take day‑to‑day responsibility for site operation.
* Anticipate and solve on‑site problems, maintain ordered records and organise trades in line with the programme.
* Control site costs, review supply‑chain variation requests, and manage direct labour and subcontractors efficiently.
* Ensure high quality workmanship, follow current Health & Safety law, and manage all on‑site Health & Safety aspects.
Qualifications and required experience
* Strong team management and leadership skills with a positive can‑do approach.
* Excellent communication skills, high self‑motivation and a strong commitment to the business.
* Good knowledge of current Health & Safety law, ASTA programme software and cost control within budgets.
* All relevant training, qualifications and permits (CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid, Temporary Works Coordinator, asbestos awareness) are desirable.
