1. Meet the functional needs of children across their home, learning, community, and educational environments at universal, targeted, and specialist levels, across the five strands of the balanced system framework.
2. Work as part of a team, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children with complex functional difficulties.
3. Liaise with health, education, and social services, working in partnership with carers and external agencies to ensure high-quality service delivery.
4. Work in various settings, including children’s homes, community settings, nurseries, schools, resource units, and clinics, addressing a range of complex needs.

6. Perform advanced assessments and develop individualised treatment programmes for patients with diverse and complex presentations.
7. Manage their own caseload and area of the service independently, with supervision through training, peer review, and case conferences.
8. Access advice and support from a senior occupational therapist as needed, with clinical work not routinely evaluated.
9. Undertake all clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
10. Supervise, educate, and assess students to graduate standards, collaborating with universities to ensure quality practice and teaching.
