Mortgage Underwriter Watford (Office-Based, 5 Days a Week)
Salary: Up to £50,000 basic + bonus
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire (on-site only)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

About the Role
Youll be responsible for assessing and underwriting regulated mortgage applications in line with company policy, regulatory standards, and responsible lending principles. Youll work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver a smooth, customer-focused process from application through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assess and underwrite residential mortgage applications accurately and efficiently
2. Make balanced, informed lending decisions within agreed mandates
3. Ensure all cases comply with company policy, lending criteria, and FCA regulations
