Sales (Support) Engineer

Overview
Combining some of the qualities of both a data analyst and software engineer, as a Sales and Partnerships Support Engineer, you will provide technical support to SuperAwesome’s sellers, business development, and account management teams to help build one-off or prototype tools to demonstrate value during client and partner engagements.
You will be an expert in the technical aspects of SuperAwesome’s software products and data estate, knowing how and where to source and process data to meet their needs, and being able to autonomously use that data to create supporting technical artifacts such as visualizations and dashboards.
Specific Responsibilities
* Provide on-demand technical assistance to Sales, Ad Operations/Yield Management, Business Development, and Account Management teams in the field, including hypothesis testing, data extraction, troubleshooting, data visualization, and prototyping bespoke functionality.
* Collaborate with SA’s Product Managers to prototype and explore new ideas and to translate emerging requirements into functional solutions that may inform new product features.
* Work closely with product and data engineering teams and data science to understand product workings, integrate your work without compromising production integrity, and access data assets.
Required Experience
* Background in digital marketing and advertising with a good understanding of programmatic advertising ecosystem.
* Experience working directly with commercial functions in roles such as sales engineer, sales support engineer, or technical professional services.
* Ability to manage ad-hoc, time-sensitive service requests from stakeholders in commercial organizations.
* Experience with SQL, scripting languages (preferably Python or TypeScript), web scraping tools, cloud environments (AWS preferred, GCP acceptable), and using AI tools for data analysis.

* Curiosity about client problems and understanding of advertising solutions.
* Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivated with effective prioritization skills in complex, uncertain environments involving multiple stakeholders.
* Strong SQL and scripting proficiency in Python or TypeScript.
* Ability to collaborate with product engineers to deliver solutions without compromising product integrity.
* Effective stakeholder management skills.
