We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Systems Support Specialist to join our award-winning IT team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be based in the North West, as travel to our head office in Widnes will be required at least once a week.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
This role provides support to the Business Systems Manager in establishing requirements for Operational and People Services Business Systems. The role involves contributing to the design, development, delivery, quality, and ongoing effectiveness of each of the business systems, while providing a professional, efficient, and effective support service to business-as-usual activities.
Day to Day (list not exhaustive, see attached job description):
* Manage incidents, queries, and requests related to Business Systems;
* Monitor the Service Desk system & email auto-notification accounts;
* Allocate issues to resolver groups, monitor, report, and escalate as appropriate;
* Resolve incidents, action requests, and answer queries where identified as the resolver;
* Review automated system alerts and perform routine housekeeping tasks, scheduled system checks & controls to identify and resolve issues;
* Undertake system administration tasks such as setting up user IDs, managing user access & permissions, ceasing user IDs for leavers, setting substitutes, monitoring workflows, and running system checks;
* Support the Business Systems Manager in project delivery, system upgrades, and enhancements, including project administrative support, system administration, and providing online support during roll-out and initial use.
Our values: Our ideal candidate skills and experience:
* A degree is desirable, preferably in IT or Business, or a relevant post-education qualification such as an advanced apprenticeship;
* Experience working in a business-focused systems support environment;
* Good understanding of business systems (e.g., HR or Payroll);
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word);
* Experience with Agresso (Unit4 ERP or Unit4 Business World) web-based financial software is essential;
* IT systems and implementation experience are highly desirable;
* Practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL;
