CRA Consulting is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established and highly regarded legal services organisation in the search for an experienced Team Leader to join its Fast Track Personal Injury team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Personal Injury professional with strong leadership capabilities to take the next step in their career, supporting a high-performing team of RTA fee earners and administrative colleagues. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving team performance, developing talent, and ensuring the consistent delivery of outstanding client service.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

* Support the Team Manager and Head of Fast Track with the day-to-day management, supervision, and development of fee earners and support staff.
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support to help colleagues achieve their full potential.
* Identify training and development needs, working closely with senior leadership to implement effective solutions.

Performance Management

* Monitor individual and team performance against agreed KPIs and service standards.
* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and annual appraisals.
* Use management information (MI) to track progress, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
* Contribute to the achievement of departmental financial objectives by supporting team strategy and performance initiatives.
* Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and productivity targets consistently met.

Technical & Case Management Support

* Provide technical guidance on both litigated and non-litigated Personal Injury matters.
* Support fee earners with litigation strategy, case progression, and complex claims handling.
* Maintain a strong understanding of Fast Track processes and relevant procedural developments.

Quality, Compliance & Risk Management

* Monitor call quality and service delivery standards.
* Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation, SRA regulations, billing procedures, and client money handling requirements.
* Manage and resolve client complaints in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
* Oversee file management and housekeeping to maintain compliance and quality expectations.

Process Improvement

* Support the implementation of new procedures and best practices across the department.
* Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Key Performance Measures

Success in this role will be measured through:

* Achievement of Fast Track departmental targets and KPIs.
* Delivery of agreed service level standards.
* Positive team engagement and performance improvements.
* Demonstrable development and progression of team members.
* Effective monitoring and reporting of case progression and management controls.


About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

* A strong background in RTA and Personal Injury claims handling.
* Experience dealing with Part 7 litigation and/or MOJ Portal claims (Stages 1–3).
* Knowledge of OIC and Intermediate Track matters.
* Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting colleagues within a legal environment.
* Strong technical expertise in Fast Track Personal Injury processes.
* The ability to interpret management information and use data to drive performance improvements.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
* A proactive, resilient approach with exceptional attention to detail.
* Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Previous supervisory or Team Leader experience would be advantageous, although candidates with significant mentoring or leadership responsibilities will also be considered.


Working Pattern

* Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
* Hybrid working arrangement.
* Minimum of two days per week based in the firm’s West Yorkshire office.
