Overview
Charge Nurse - Community Nursing, NHS Lanarkshire (Motherwell Health Centre). An exciting opportunity for an experienced district nurse to lead a Community Nursing Team within the Motherwell locality.
Role responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and deliver safe and effective person-centred care.
* Demonstrate excellent clinical leadership and change management skills.
* Inspire, empower and motivate the team through high-quality communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ensure effective team working and leadership for day-to-day service delivery.
* Evidence car ownership or access to a car, as required.
Location and working pattern
Based in Motherwell Health Centre. The working pattern will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
What we’re looking for
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
* SPQ District Nursing/Nursing in the Home or equivalent Postgraduate study.
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree level.
* Postgraduate expertise in the relevant specialty with breadth of knowledge to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards relevant to the specialty/area of practice.
* Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, policies and procedures to deliver leadership within the specialty/area of practice.
* Demonstrated leadership skills for managing service delivery and change.
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development in the area of specialty (including clinical assessment and non-medical prescribing).
* Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate others and work with initiative.
* Good time management and working knowledge of basic information technology.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence (car owner/driver or access to a car).

Desirable additional information
* Formal leadership development.
* Post-registration experience in primary care.
* Evidence of post-registration knowledge relevant to the post.
