Role Overview
Undertake the role of nursery nurse within the Regional Perinatal Mental Health Mother and Baby Unit at NHS Lothian. The post holder will establish and provide a supportive environment, ensuring the health and social wellbeing of each mother and baby admitted, and facilitate nurturing bonds and secure attachments through individualised care programs.
Responsibilities
1. Work collaboratively with professionals across health, social care, and third sector agencies.
2. Develop positive relationships within a multi-agency network to support mothers, infants, and their families and carers.

Requirements
The role requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If not currently a member, an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting.
Working Hours
From 1 April 2024, NHS Scotland will reduce the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours, with no change in pay. This change will be applied pro-rata for part-time staff.
