Overview

Hours of Work: 36.5 hours per week (5 Days) Term Time plus up to a maximum of 3 weeks working over holidays, evenings and weekends to be agreed

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Grade 4 - £34,434 - £41,771 (£32,365.66 - £39,261.95 actual) and SEN allowance £1,722 pro rata.

Start date of role: Spring 2026

Education Impact Academy Trust is a MAT incorporating The Hive College, Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and Mayfield School. The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. In November 2023 we were graded Outstanding in every single aspect of an Ofsted Inspection.

As part of our on-going development of a highly successful specialist college, we have a Community Engagement Leader vacancy to join our team of professional and dedicated people.

The right candidate will have:

* An NVQ Level 3 Vocational or Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), plus minimum GCSE English and Maths Grade C and above (or equivalent)
* Knowledge and experience of the intent of a vocational / sensory curriculum in Preparation for Adulthood.
* A good understanding of how students learn and develop in education.
* Experience of analysing and interpreting data to monitor the progress of learners and identify any actions that are required to improve and enhance the impact of the college study programmes intent.
* The ability to support the work placement team in meeting the needs of all students, including mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of students as and when required
* The ability to work with individuals and small groups of students
* Excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour
* The skills to support students in the workplace and whilst out in the community.
