Your Mission:
As a Lead Engineer at MPG, you will balance leadership and technical responsibilities. You will contribute through hands-on programming while leading a team of motivated engineers, fostering team spirit, and encouraging exceptional results.
You will collaborate with industry leaders to design features, tackle complex problems, and push boundaries, always aiming to support your team's success and growth.
What you’ll be doing:
* Lead a team of Principal, Senior, and Software Engineers, managing performance and development to ensure excellent service to clients
* Design and implement functionalities for external clients
* Handle implementation in areas such as gameplay, AI, UI, Multiplayer, and Core Tech
* Identify and communicate potential risks in ongoing solutions
* Apply sound software engineering principles to solve problems
* Work continuously to minimize technical and maintenance issues
* Promote quality in MPG and our clients’ development processes
What we need from you:
* Extensive experience in game development
* Experience mentoring and coaching team members
* Supportive of HR initiatives like development discussions, recruitment, and performance management
* Attention to detail and ability to interpret directions
* Strong technical skills and timely completion of tasks
* Effective communication skills and openness to constructive feedback
* Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills
* Knowledge of technologies such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary engines
* Experience with platforms like PC and consoles
