School Crossing Patrol Scale 1 ( 24,413 - 24,796 pro rata) plus pension and laundry allowance. Uniform provided. Part-Time (between 5-8 hours available per week), Term-Time Permanent Your Role Working for Stockport Council s School Crossing Patrol Service you will assist children and adults safely across the road at a designated location to and from school. You will promote Road Safety on behalf of Stockport Council and act as a representative of the Council. You will be required to adhere to health and safety requirements, reporting any defects at the crossing location to the School Crossing Patrol Supervisor. Roles are available in the following School Crossing Patrol Locations: HEALD GREEN Cross Road/Bolshaw Primary School, Heald Green Brown Lane/Prospect Vale, Heald Green Outwood Road/Outwood Primary, Heald Green HAZEL GROVE AND BRAMHALL Bramhall Moor Lane/Dorchester Road, Hazel Grove Lyndhurst Ave/Stoksey Drive, Hazel Grove Seal Road/Dairyground Road, Bramhall Ladythorn Road/Dairyground Road, Bramhall Bramhall Lane South/Grassmere Road, Bramhall OFFERTON, GREAT MOOR, HEAVILEY, Dialstone Lane/Magda Road, Offerton Dialstone Lane/Cherry Tree Lane, Offerton Mile End Lane/Lowndes Lane, Offerton EDGELEY AND ADSWOOD Rostrevor Road/St Ambrose Primary, Adswood CHEADLE AND CHEADLE HULME Yew Tree Park Road/Hursthead Road, Cheadle Hulme School Lane, Cheadle Hulme REDDISH and THE HEATONS Thornfield Road/Balmoral Road, Heaton Moor Mauldeth Road/Thornhill Road, Heaton Mersey MARPLE, ROMILEY AND BREDBURY Bowden Lane/back of Rose Hill Primary, Marple Church Lane/Brickbridge Road, Marple Sandy Lane/Romiley Primary, Romiley About You The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and a friendly approachable manner. You will have experience of working with children and the ability to assist children and adults in crossing the road. You will need to be respectful towards drivers and pedestrians and have a basic knowledge of road safety and traffic awareness. You will need to be available morning and afternoon, term time only and be able to work outdoors in all weathers.
