We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Manager to join our Modular Solutions Division, based at our site in Sherburn.

Working hours for this role are Monday - Thursday 08:30 till 17:15 & Friday 08:30-15:00.

Severfield Modular Solutions offers a market-leading suite of products, including an expanding range of modular products to cater to diverse needs, including ‘Severstor’ units (robust, steel-framed modules that house critical systems equipment such as electrical switchgear) and ‘Rotoflo’ technology (a well-established high-efficient and controlled discharge system representing a major advance in materials handling technology).

From its facility in Sherburn, it also provides a one-stop shop for steel products and processing service using our extensive range of equipment and allows us to address smaller scale projects. They continue to set the bar high in their niche market!

Vacancy Details

In the Production Manager role, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of quality fabricated steel throughout the business. You will support the coordination of the teams within the fabrication lines, working safely & timely to deliver quality products, as detailed in the Client Specifications, on target & to budget.

Other Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To


* Develop our manufacturing process to be capable of consistently delivering high volume production on time in full to the right quality standard.
* Implement a right first-time approach with zero tolerance to all customer perceived warranty issues.
* Monitor and manage manufacturing variances daily, weekly and monthly. Focus on timely confirmations, stock management, labour management, Bom accuracy and cost out projects.
* Train, coach and motivate the team to maximise production performance focusing on quality, scrap, utilisation and labour management.
* Ensure the team have the resources to run the line and remove all potential roadblocks that may prevent them from doing their job.
* Continually work on cost reduction and process improvement projects & report accurately online performance against agreed KPI’s.
* Measure and manage performance against target throughput.
* Ensure all SOP’s and risk assessments are complied with.
* Maintain a safe working environment, encouraging a Speak Up culture.
* Ensure accurate packaging and labelling of product is adhered to.
* Constantly monitor the line performance by verifying equipment, checks, & quality.
* Ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO accreditation's and all other certifications currently in place, including CE marking
* Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures.
