How you’ll help us make health happen
As a Credit Controller, you’ll be part of our Financial Operations Team, reporting to the Credit Control Manager. Your day-to-day will include:
* Managing and processing customer payments accurately and on time
* Handling inbound queries from internal teams and support partners
* Administering credit control notifications and internal processes
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including anti-money laundering and sanctions
* Progressing towards managing your own portfolio of credit control cases
* Making decisions within agreed parameters to resolve outstanding debt
* Liaising across departments to deliver a seamless customer experience
* Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
* Supporting training and knowledge sharing within the team
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce debtor volumes
* Escalating any control risks or weaknesses to the Credit Control Manager
* Supporting other areas of Finance when needed
* Contacting customers, Brokers and Account Managers as required to discuss outstanding payments and escalate accordingly
Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role
We’re looking for someone who’s confident with numbers and even better with people. You’ll need:
* Experience in a credit control or account management role—ideally in insurance or financial services
* A track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs in a high-volume environment
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to process financial data quickly
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Confidence in handling customer queries with professionalism and empathy
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
* Understanding of regulatory obligations and a commitment to fair customer outcomes
