About the role
We are looking for a passionate Youth Participation Worker to support adolescents affected by risk outside the home, including:

1. Youth Justice involvement
2. Exploitation (criminal/sexual)
3. Anti-social behaviour and serious youth violence
4. Substance use
5. Contextual safeguarding


You will build trusted relationships with young people and create opportunities for them to share their experiences and influence how services are designed and delivered.

Key responsibilities

6. Deliver creative 1:1 and group engagement with young people
7. Lead participation and co-production activities focus groups, feedback sessions)
8. Ensure young people’s voices shape practice, policy, and services
9. Work with partners across social care, police, health, and education
10. Use trauma-informed and Child First approaches


About you

You will:

11. Have experience working with vulnerable adolescents
12. Be confident building trust and engagement
13. Be creative, adaptable, and passionate about participation
14. Understand exploitation, youth justice, and adolescent risk
