We’re recruiting an Engineering Team Lead to play a key leadership role within a high-performing manufacturing and food processing environment. Reporting directly to the Engineering Shift Manager, you’ll lead a team of mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers, ensuring plant reliability, safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead and support mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers on shift
·Deputise for the Engineering Shift Manager when required
·Prioritise and allocate engineering work to maintain production efficiency
·Drive preventative maintenance using CMMS / SAP PPM systems
·Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
·Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and permit-to-work systems
·Support training and development of engineers and semi-skilled staff
·Work with contractors and visiting engineers on improvements and upgrades
·Maintain engineering documentation and records
·Promote 5S standards and environmental compliance
What We’re Looking For
·Time-served fitter with minimum 4 years industrial experience
·Strong mechanical or electrical background
·Previous supervisory or leadership experience
·Excellent fault-finding and decision-making ability
·IT literate with CMMS / SAP experience advantageous
·Organised, proactive and safety-focused
Desirable Experience
·Food manufacturing or poultry processing experience
·Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills
