Job Role
To support the management and execution of the organisation’s Credit, Operational, and Enterprise Risk Governance framework. This role contributes to the Bank’s strategic objectives by providing meaningful insights and guidance to stakeholders across the Retail and Wholesale Banking divisions.
Job Responsibilities
Credit Risk Management
* Act as the convenor for the Credit and Investment Committees for the Bank, working closely with the CRO and CCO to set agendas and coordinate meeting planning.
* Prepare and maintain minutes for CIC meetings, ensuring all papers and resolution updates are completed and distributed in line with UK governance standards and deadlines.
* Monitor, track, and follow up on action plans arising from CIC, ensuring completion within agreed timelines and escalating outstanding items to the CRO when necessary.
* Support Operational and Credit Risk Managers in producing MI reports for Risk Management Committees.
Operational Risk Management
* Support the development and maintenance of the Bank’s risk appetite, policies, and procedures in line with PRA/FCA requirements.
* Maintain the policy diary and ensure accurate record-keeping for the Branch and UK Subsidiary.
* Assist with preparing operational risk reports for the Wholesale Branch, UK Subsidiary, and Parent Office.
* Conduct RCSA assessments, support KRI implementation, and strengthen operational risk awareness across business units.
* Assist with key OR activities, including MI preparation, near-miss/internal loss reporting, quarterly KRI/ORAM reporting, and monthly operational risk reports.
* Prepare minutes for the Branch Risk Committee and support governance documentation as needed.
Risk Department Governance (Dual-Hatting Responsibilities)
* Assist in implementing and embedding risk policies and procedures across the UK Subsidiary and the Branch.
* Develop and maintain process manuals and job cards for the Risk team.
* Support the enhancement of corporate governance practices across the Bank.
* Monitor and escalate major and critical risk issues through the Risk Incident Reporting process.
