Main duties of the job
1. Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care to our diverse population, including acute, chronic disease, and preventive care.
2. Undertake face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations as part of our total triage model.
3. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective, holistic care.
4. Contribute to the continuity of care through personal list working where possible.
5. Participate in practice meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and significant event reviews.
6. Support and supervise trainees and students, depending on experience and interest.
7. Manage administrative tasks related to patient care, including referrals, pathology results, and correspondence.
8. Take part in duty doctor sessions on a shared rota basis.
9. Engage with practice development, innovation, and service improvement.

Our multidisciplinary team includes GP Partners, Salaried GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, a General Practice Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist, and Paramedic Practitioner. The clinical team is fully supported by an experienced management and administrative team.

Salaried GP at Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice
Role Overview: We seek a dedicated and professional Salaried GP to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive NHS Primary Medical Services to our registered patients, temporary residents, and those needing immediate treatment. This role offers a supportive and dynamic environment, contributing to high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and referrals in line with NHS guidelines.
* Participate in the duty doctor rota and manage urgent patient needs.
* Maintain GMC registration and NHS Performers List inclusion.
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
* Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and service development.
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Full GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Performers List.
* Experience working in Primary Care.
* Commitment to CPD and maintaining professional standards.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003.
* Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
* Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
* Currently on a PCT performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register.
* DBS clearance.
* Desirable evidence of further postgraduate educational activities in relevant fields, such as MRCGP, DCH, DRCOG, RCGP, Substance Misuse Certificate Level 1 or 2, F2 supervisor training/teaching diploma, DFSRH, competence in coil insertion, evidence of CPD activities.
Experience
* Experienced GP confident and comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team, with a proven track record in primary care.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, requiring a DBS check for any previous criminal convictions.
£10,500 to £11,500 per session, calculated annually.
