Job Description
SRG are delighted to be working with an industry leading biotechnology company based in Scotland's Central belt who specialise in converting low-cost by-products of the whisky industry into high-value chemical fuel sources, with a view to scaling this up to replace fossil fuels as a fuel source.
SRG's client are currently looking for a multi-skilled maintenance technician, who will play a vital part in the operations of their fermentation plant, this is a key position within the client's manufacturing team.
The role
* Carry out planned equipment maintenance
* Oversee equipment suppliers when carrying out inspections and servicing
* Manage and maintain stores and spare parts (including relevant documentation)
* Drive high standards within engineering and manufacturing
* Train members of operations team
* Occasional on-call support when necessary
Experience/Skills
* Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 415V
* Demonstrable experience fault finding and troubleshooting both electrically and mechanically
* Practical hands-on experience of some of the following; Pumps, heat exchangers, valves, agitators, conveyors, pressure systems or distillation columns
* Relevant demonstrable engineering experience, ideally in a similar industry
