Career Teachers are recruiting a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in our secondary school based in Northolt. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm, supporting children with mainstream education and additional needs.
If you are passionate about developing a career in education and eager to support young people, this could be the perfect role for you. The position is long-term with the view to become permanent and offers a daily rate of between £90-£105 PAYE.
General Skills
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA), you will have:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant in a UK school or relevant qualifications recognized by NARIC
* Completed relevant courses in childcare, safeguarding, teaching assistance, etc.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Maths, Science, Art, History, etc.
* Experience in youth work or sports coaching
* Tutoring experience in person
* Willingness and ability to adapt to a wide range of duties in response to changing circumstances
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring students stay focused and on task
* Managing student behavior positively
* Following school policies on behavior management consistently
* Following instructions and work set by the Head of Department or class teachers
* Providing 1-1 support and assisting class teachers
* Graduates with tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering experience are encouraged to apply
