Carbon Steel Fabricator We are currently hiring Steel Fabricators for an industry leader in the Building Services sector, to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements through the use of a variety of welds, i.e., TIG, MMA and MAG. Your hours will be Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00, with overtime available at 1.5 Key Responsibilities: Read and fully understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project. Fabricate and weld pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel ranging from 65mm – 150mm) from shop drawings. Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard. Complete Cross Training in various welding activities. Ensure Company H&S Processes followed. To operate MIG/TIG or MMA welding equipment. Use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment. Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling. Clean tools, equipment, and work areas Requirements: Essential: Experience working as a fabricator welder in Pipe Fabrication and Welding. The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements. Able to use Shop floor hand tools. Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings Desirable: Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.
