Overview
Due to growth we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated a full time Senior Care & Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our customers, ensuring their comfort and well-being within their own homes. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively with both customers, and staff and a commitment to upholding care plans tailored to individual needs.
Duties
* Supervise and support staff members in delivering exceptional care.
* Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with the customer, healthcare professionals and families.
* Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring their needs are met and they feel valued.
* Drive initiatives that promote safe care delivery.
* Assist customers with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, and medication.
* Maintain accurate records of customers' progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems.
* To act as the Senior on-call offering out of hours support to the care team.
* Foster a positive atmosphere by engaging customers in social activities and maintaining independence.
Experience
* Level 3 diploma in Health & Social Care or willing to work towards it.
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential.
* Confident in using moving and handling aids, continence management and the administration of medication.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, support and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with customers, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to adapt them according to individual customers needs is highly desirable.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of care is crucial.
