Secretary Location: Lisburn (Office-based) Salary: £24,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, Permanent (35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) Holidays: 28 days (including bank holidays) About the Company Happy Jobs NI are delighted to be representing a well-established and busy solicitor's practice based in Lisburn. They are now seeking an experienced and organised Secretary to join their dedicated team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. The Role This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You'll provide vital administrative support to the team, manage communications, and ensure the office runs efficiently and professionally at all times. From answering calls and managing diaries to preparing correspondence and maintaining files, you'll be the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. This position would particularly suit someone who enjoys structure, takes pride in detail, and thrives in a collaborative and professional environment. It may also be a great fit for those with experience in roles such as Legal Secretary, Office Administrator, Executive Assistant, or Administrative Assistant. Key Responsibilities Answer and direct phone calls, and serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients. Draft and manage correspondence including emails, letters, memos, and reports. Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and assist with diary coordination. Provide typing and dictation support as required. Organise and maintain both digital and physical filing systems. Prepare meeting materials, take minutes, and circulate follow-up actions. Order and manage office supplies to ensure an organised and efficient workspace. Support colleagues and management with general office duties and administrative tasks. About You We're looking for someone who is dependable, professional, and thrives in a busy office setting. You'll have excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with ease. You should bring: Proven experience in a secretarial or administrative role (experience in a legal environment is desirable). Excellent typing, organisational, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
