Our Client, Bury Council, is seeking a Children’s Advanced Practitioner/Assistant Team Manager to join their Children with Disability Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
* Provide frequent, reflective supervision and mentoring to social workers, including supporting staff through the Assessed & Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme.
* Oversee complex child protection cases, ensuring compliance with legal/regulatory standards and high-quality assessment and care planning.
* Identify potential risks to children, ensuring safety measures are implemented and escalating concerns to the Team Manager when necessary.
* Monitor team performance against set targets, ensuring statutory duties are met, and conducting regular case file audits.
* Assist with workflow,, resource allocation, and maintaining a supportive team environment.
* Work with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure children's needs are met.
Requirements of this role
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
* Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working as a Qualified social worker
