Fylde Coast (covering the North West, with occasional national work)

James Scott Associates (JSA) is growing.
We are a modern, RICS-regulated Chartered Surveying practice based on the Fylde Coast, delivering Building Surveys, Contract Administration, Architectural Design, Project Management and Dispute Resolution across residential and commercial sectors.
While proudly locally based, we operate throughout the North West, with increasing national instructions as our client base continues to expand.
We’re looking for a motivated Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) or AssocRICS to strengthen and grow our residential offering while supporting the Director on commercial and higher-level professional work.
The Role
This position is primarily residential-focused, including:
* RICS Level 2 & 3 Home Surveys
* Building pathology and defect diagnosis
* Party Wall matters
* Design, specification writing & schedules of work
* Contract Administration on refurbishments and extensions
You’ll also gain exposure to:
* Commercial projects
* Dilapidations
* Feasibility studies
* Dispute resolution and expert witness support
This is not a siloed residential role — it’s an opportunity to broaden your professional scope within a growing and ambitious practice.
About You
* MRICS (or AssocRICS working toward chartership)
* Strong residential surveying experience
* Confident report writer and client-facing professional
* Technically sound with strong construction knowledge
* Organised, commercially aware and ambitious
