To work as a Senior Occupational Therapist within the Stroke Service, providing advanced patient assessment and therapeutic intervention for those patients admitted to the Service.
This post is vital to facilitate as far as possible each client's return to maximum function and independence through a range of therapeutic interventions.
This intervention has a significant impact on the wider economy in; reducing length of stay in hospital, reducing admissions and re‑admissions, reducing residential placements through both social care and continuing health care, reducing domiciliary care packages as well as improving health outcomes.
To continually evaluate service provision, propose and carry out developments that will improve service delivery and patient care.
To act as a resource and support to a wide range of other disciplines, agencies, and carers by providing knowledge and skills, including contribution to education and research programmes as required.
