Lecturer – Travel, Tourism & Public Services

Further Education College (via Teaching Personnel)

At Teaching Personnel, we work in close partnership with Further Education colleges to support learners in reaching their full potential. We are currently recruiting a Lecturer in Travel, Tourism and Public Services to work with one of our valued FE partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people and adult learners while developing your own career within Further Education. Our partner college is committed to high-quality teaching, learner wellbeing, and staff development, and you will be fully supported by both the college and Teaching Personnel throughout your placement.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will:

Teach across Travel, Tourism and Public Services, primarily to Level 1 and Level 2 learners.

Bring industry experience to life in the classroom, creating engaging and relevant learning experiences.

Be learner-focused, working with students aged 16+, inspiring them to achieve their qualifications and future career goals.

Plan and deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.

Provide pastoral support, monitor learner progress, and contribute to assessment and report writing.

Use a range of learning technologies and demonstrate a willingness to continually develop your skills through CPD and training provided.

Support occasional college events, which may include additional hours or weekend work.

Who we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from candidates who:

Have relevant experience in the Travel, Tourism or Public Services sector.

Are passionate about teaching, learning, and supporting FE students.

Have experience teaching (or supporting learning) at Level 1 and Level 2.

Possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to motivate and engage learners.

Hold a teaching qualification or are willing to work towards one – full training and professional development will be provided.

Holding A1 IQA, TAQA or Level 4 IQA qualifications is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
