Job title: Crime and Dispute Resolution Solicitor
Location: Primarily Remote with occasional travel to Reading
Salary: £45,000-£60,000
PQE Level: 2+ PQE

A leading railway operator with a strong presence across the Southeast and Southwest is seeking a solicitor with solid experience in regulatory or criminal law to join their legal team on a six-month contract. This is a rare opportunity to step into a corporate-facing role while continuing to engage your courtroom expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent the company in Magistrates\' Court proceedings (typically three times a month), including presenting, reading, and managing cases
* Advise on fraud, bylaw enforcement, and wider regulatory matters
* Collaborate with in-house legal and operational teams to deliver strategic legal support
* Contribute to the development of internal legal processes and compliance frameworks
What We\'re Looking For
* Qualified solicitor with strong criminal or regulatory law experience
* Confident advocate with Magistrates\' Court exposure
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Interest in transitioning from police or crime-focused roles into a corporate/regulatory setting
