Starting salary for this role will be Soulbury Range 4-9 (starting at 5) plus 3 SPA points (pro rata for part time colleagues). About the Role
As an Educational Psychologist, you will:
* Apply psychology to improve outcomes, promote inclusion, and support emotional wellbeing for children and young people.
* Use family‑ and child‑centred approaches, working collaboratively with parents, schools and partners.
* Help the Council meet statutory duties for vulnerable children, including those with SEND and disabilities.
* Stay current with professional practice while managing your workload effectively.
* Contribute creatively as part of a supportive, collaborative team.
* Deliver high‑quality traded services to schools, including consultation, assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring.
* Support inclusive practice through co‑production and a Graduated Response to SEND.
* Offer professional advice to the SEN Team, including involvement in complex casework and tribunals.
* Provide safeguarding‑compliant, child‑centred support at all times.
* Deliver professional development and contribute to critical incident response for educational settings.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications
* Honours degree in Psychology or equivalent.
* A recognised qualification in Educational Psychology (or be currently in training).
Experience & Knowledge
* Experience delivering a broad range of Educational Psychology casework.
* Experience in delivering training, promoting inclusion, and working with vulnerable children.
* Strong understanding of psychological assessments, SEND legislation, and multi‑agency working.

Job Requirements
* HCPC registration (or eligibility).
