Electronic Engineer required by an established company developing high-tech products located in Poole.
The Electronic Engineer is likely to have a relevant degree in Electronic Engineering and commercial experience in electronic hardware and/or system design. Altium Designer experience is preferred.
The Electronic Engineer will be responsible for
* Working with product managers to refine new product development goals and specifications.
* Developing and designing hardware solutions to meet required specifications.
* The creation of schematic designs and PCB layout for complex SoC based systems.
* Ensuring designs are optimised for performance, manufacturability and cost.
* Developing test plans to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Participating / leading design reviews
* Ensuring design solutions are robust and reliable by using appropriate tools and techniques for testing, validation and documentation
Key Experience
* Proven commercial experience in electronic hardware and / or system design.
* Development of embedded single board computers - ideally NXP i.MX family SoCs or similar
* EMC testing
* PCB design - ideally using Altium
* Hardware integration
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite
* Sensor integration
