About the role
This is a varied and highly impactful role where you’ll combine data analysis, planning, and commercial insight to help deliver services that meet customer needs and support business performance.
What you’ll be doing
* Develop and maintain timetables and service schedules to improve reliability and efficiency
* Analyse customer demand, revenue, and operational data to identify opportunities and risks
* Support service reviews, network changes, and new routes, including preparing business cases
* Work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to ensure plans are practical and deliverable
* Monitor performance against KPIs and recommend improvements
* Contribute to reports and presentations for senior management
* Engage with local authorities and stakeholders where required

* Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data
* Commercial awareness and understanding of cost vs revenue
* Ability to turn insights into practical, real-world solutions
* Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience
* Experience in a commercial, planning, or analytical role
* Proven ability to analyse data and make recommendations
* Experience working across teams or functions
Desirable
* Experience in transport, logistics or scheduling
* Knowledge of planning/timetabling systems
* Experience working with public sector or contracts
