As a Marine Electrician in our Maritime Services team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems across our fleet of vessels, helping ensure safe and reliable operations that support critical defence activities.
This is a shore-based opportunity where your expertise directly contributes to operational readiness and safety. What you'll do as a Marine Electrician
* Carry out fault finding, defect rectification, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment across the vessel fleet.
* Undertake installation work for upgrades and replacement of machinery and electrical components.
* Test and calibrate sensors including pressure and temperature equipment.
* Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to deliver tasks efficiently and to quality standards.
* Ensure tools, spare parts, and equipment are available to support continuous operations.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Does this sound like you?
* Experience as a time‑served electrician or electrical technician, ideally within marine, industrial, or power generation environments.
* Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
* Knowledge of permit to work and tag‑out systems.
* A proactive, methodical approach to problem‑solving with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Full UK driving licence and ability to meet MOD security clearance criteria.
