My client is a Norwich-based chartered firm that has been providing advice to Norfolk and beyond for over fifty years. You can become part of their success by supporting their Financial Planners as a Technical Analyst.
Job Summary
You will work as part of my client's support team, integrating with Financial Planners and Administrators to provide clients with a welcoming, efficient, professional, and effective service, with a high focus on quality and accuracy, adhering to TCF and Consumer Duty principles at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and collate relevant quantitative information to compile wealth management and financial planning reports based on meeting notes, fact find data, and Financial Planner instructions.
* Proficient use of cash flow planning tools (Truth/Voyant).
* Discuss client needs and objectives with the relevant wealth manager and undertake research to identify suitable solutions.
* Complete tax calculations for withdrawals, including capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and bond withdrawals.
* Prepare information and recommendations to support client reviews for analysis by Financial Planners.
* Maintain accurate and efficient client records and data in accordance with company and FCA rules.
* Stay updated with new product, technical, and legislative changes.
* Manage daily tasks effectively through the company's workflow system, working within defined timescales and holding regular meetings with Financial Planners and Administrators to discuss workloads and priorities.
* Provide training and technical support to team members, guiding day-to-day working practices.
* Understand processes related to monitoring new business, preparing client meeting packs and valuations, submitting transactions, sending letters of authority, calculating fees, and raising invoices.
* Perform other general administrative duties as assigned.
Role Requirements
Qualifications
* Hold or be working towards a Diploma in Financial Planning or Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
* Certificate in Financial Planning (Essential).
Experience
Minimum 5 years industry experience.
Knowledge and Skills
* Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong report writing skills.
* Good numeracy skills with close attention to detail.
* Excellent organization skills with experience of working to deadlines.
* Good understanding of FCA ethics, rules, and requirements.
* Knowledge of investments, pensions, protection plans, and other financial products and tools.
* High level of technical expertise.
* Adaptable and flexible approach to work in a changing environment.
* Experience with Intelligent Office (IO) is desirable.
