Description
A prestigious private country estate near Swaffham, Norfolk, is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Gardener and Estate Worker. The ideal candidate will not only maintain our exquisite 26-acre gardens but also be willing to travel to London for additional estate duties as needed.
Key Qualifications:
1. Formal horticultural qualifications and extensive plant knowledge.
2. NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture and a chainsaw certificate are desirable.
Responsibilities:
1. Care for lawns using large ride-on mowers, strimmers, sprayers, and other garden machinery.
2. Perform basic maintenance on garden equipment.
3. Utilize excellent horticultural skills to tend to herbaceous borders, cutting gardens, vegetable patches, greenhouses, fruit cages, and formal hedges.
4. Assist with general estate tasks and various responsibilities around the Hall.
Attributes:
1. Enthusiastic, hardworking, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
2. Comfortable working in all weather conditions and knowledgeable about seasonal gardening requirements.
3. Must have a clean driving license.
4. Willingness to travel to London for work on occasion.
