Role: SME Account Handler
Location: Manchester
Salary: up to £30k
Hybrid/Flexible working set up.
We have partnered with a leading insurance broker group to recruit for a SME account handler to join their team in Manchester.
Main purpose of the role
To provide a quality service to clients in respect of renewal and new business insurance arrangements advising, arranging, and securing appropriate cover for our clients demands and needs.
General Responsibilities
1. Maintaining relationship, interaction and liaising with insurers on day-to-day basis
2. Maintaining relationship, interaction and liaising with insurers on day-to-day basis
3. Processing MTAs and administration
4. Ensuring all communications, documents, invoices are issued in a compliant way in line with company Policies & Procedures and full utilisation of Acturis
5. To answer the telephone, ensuring that information given is accurately recorded
6. To update knowledge of insurance market as & when developments occur
7. To continue improvement in technical insurance knowledge. A minimum of Cert CII will be required within 12 months of employment
8. To liaise with accounts department as and when required
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential: Cert CII
Desirable: Dip CII
Skills, Knowledge & Attributes
Essential:
Considerable experience in the insurance industry preferably with the Commercial Client Servicing experience
Good working knowledge of the Acturis system
Good working knowledge of on-line broking systems
Good working knowledge of General Commercial Lines business and the Broking market
A willingness to pursue professional qualifications
A Can-do attitude with good communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent and accurate administration
Ability to utilise IT for maximum advantage
Drive to achieve results, solve problems and deliver service and ability to work to deadlines
Good relationship building and influencing skills
