TPF Recruitment are proud to be supporting a rapidly growing and reputable firm of Chartered Accountants in Wokingham, who are seeking an Accounts Manager to join their established and friendly team.

The Role
As an Accounts Manager, you’ll take responsibility for a diverse client portfolio of limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders alongside managing your own team. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your clients proactively, supported by an experienced and collaborative team of Directors/Partners.
This is a client and team management focused position with an emphasis on advising clients and reviewing work prepared by more junior members of the team, but you will be required to get involved with more complex accounts preparation work when your expertise is needed.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a varied client portfolio, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts
* Overseeing accounting preparation, bookkeeping and VAT returns
* Preparing and submitting corporate and personal tax returns
* Providing excellent client service and acting as a key point of contact for queries
* Supporting partners on ad hoc projects and contributing to firm-wide initiatives
* Helping to develop and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth
Requirements
* ACA / ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
* Previous experience as a Client Manager, Accounts Manager, or Team Leader
* Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation, management accounts, tax, and VAT
* Previous experience reviewing work prepared by more junior members of staff
* Excellent communication and organisational skills

Requirements
For this fantastic Semi Senior opportunity in Wokingham, you may be an AAT studying, and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT, with a background in accountancy practice, with at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within practice, preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You will be looking for a challenging, long term career move, at Accounts Semi Senior level, within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of chartered accountants, offering progression and career development.
