Job Opportunity: Billings Assistant
Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting a Billings Assistant to work for a fantastic professional services business in Leeds City Centre. This business is experiencing growth and requires short-term cover during a busy period.
This is a 6-month contract. Candidates must be immediately available.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate application of agreed rates
* Maintain client and matter data related to rates and billing
* Capture and maintain precise new timekeeper data, liaising with internal stakeholders as needed
* Submit LEDES and PDF invoices to billing portals to minimize rejections
* Use the billing Hub to create and maintain client configurations, reducing manual efforts
* Maintain budget/matter information in billing portals to streamline invoice uploads
* Coordinate with Credit Control regarding invoice status to reduce debtor days
* Collaborate with the Billing team to ensure guidelines are followed, reducing WIP days
* Resolve invoice rejections with PAs and billing portal contacts
* Assist the Senior E-billing Analyst with new billing portal implementations
* Serve as the point of contact for billing queries
* Support ad hoc projects within the finance function
* Ensure compliance with the firm's regulatory obligations and policies
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders in finance and the wider business
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in a finance or legal environment
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
* Strong IT skills
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Commercial mindset
* Attention to detail
* Flexibility to work non-standard hours at short notice
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
